A rechargeable backup battery in the control panel lets you continue raising and lowering the bollard with your remote during a power cut.

Installation typically takes a day. The housing sits 800mm below ground, so installation involves excavation, drainage and an electrical connection. We agree the cable route with you before work begins, then install the bollard and reinstate the surrounding surface before we leave.

Most driveways are suitable. We check the available depth below ground, access for installation and the route for the electrical supply before you commit.

It depends on the width and layout of your entrance. One is usually enough for a single driveway; a wider or double entrance may need two. A single control panel can operate up to eight bollards, so additional bollards can share the same panel. Your quote will confirm the arrangement and cost.

Most domestic driveway installations do not require planning permission. Different requirements may apply to listed properties and homes in conservation areas, so check with your local authority before ordering. 

We recommend an annual service to clear the barrel and drainage, lubricate the rising guide, check seals and fixings, and inspect the hydraulic pump and oil. We can arrange this for you.

The bollard and control panel come with a one-year warranty as standard. Extended cover is also available. Ask us about the terms and options when requesting your quote.

The bollard does not currently have a certified impact rating. PAS 68 impact testing has been carried out, and certification is pending. We will only publish an impact rating once certification is confirmed.
